Casting: 360 VR tours using Sentio

SENTIO VR allows you to present 360° virtual tours from a Meta Quest headset to a larger audience using two simple casting options. Whether you’re in a meeting room or on a video call, you can share immersive experiences in real time.

Option 1: Cast to a Browser URL (no PC required)

1. Launch your 360 tour in the Meta Quest headset.
2. Press the left controller menu button to open the VR menu.
3. Navigate to the “Cast” tab.
4. Click “Start Casting” and note 4-digit PIN
5. Enter PIN in https://cast.sentiovr.com/
6. That's it. Your VR view can now be seen in real-time on the URL

📝 Note: This URL-based casting works in real time and does not require the viewer to install any software.

This takes less than a minute, shows the experience in high quality, and does not get interrupted even after inactivity on the headset making it a reliable and simple choice for client meetings.

Option 2: Cast to the PC App

This method is similar to the 3D walkthrough casting workflow and is great for in-person or hybrid meetings where a presenter is in VR and the audience is viewing from a PC.

✅ Steps:

1. Launch your 360 tour on the Meta Quest headset.
2. Open the VR menu using the left controller.
3. Go to the “Meetings” tab and create a meeting. A 4-digit code will be generated.
4. On your PC, open the SENTIO VR desktop app and enter the code
5. Once inside the meeting, click “Follow Host” on the top-right of the PC app.
6. The PC will now mirror exactly what the host sees in VR, including tour navigation and annotations.
