Overview

Upload your Autodesk Navisworks (.nwd) 3D model to SENTIO VR and experience it in Virtual Reality on Meta Quest. There are two ways to upload your Navisworks model:

• Option 1: Web Upload (recommended) — Upload your .nwd file directly through the SENTIO VR web portal.
• Option 2: Navisworks Plugin — Export your model from within Navisworks using the SENTIO VR plugin.

Note: For most workflows we recommend the Web Upload method — it's the fastest path from file to headset and doesn't require installing anything in Navisworks. Use the plugin if you'd prefer to upload directly from your Navisworks session.

Option 1: Upload via Web Portal (Recommended)

1. Log in to your SENTIO VR account at Login.
2. Navigate to Projects.
3. Select 3D Walkthroughs.
4. Click Upload Model and select your .nwd file from your computer.
5. Wait for the upload and processing to complete.
6. Once processed, you'll receive a 6-digit access code to view your model in VR using the SENTIO VR app on Meta Quest.

Option 2: Upload via Navisworks Plugin

The SENTIO VR plugin lets you export your model directly from Autodesk Navisworks.

Install the Plugin

1. Ensure you have signed up on Sentio VR.
2. Download and install the SENTIO VR Navisworks plugin from the Autodesk App Store using the link above.
3. Open Autodesk Navisworks and log in to the plugin using your SENTIO VR credentials.

Export Your Model

1. Open your model in Autodesk Navisworks.
2. Ensure your model is fully loaded and optimized for performance.
3. In the SENTIO VR plugin, click Upload Model.
4. Wait for the upload to complete, or check your email for confirmation once processing is done.
5. Once complete, use your 6-digit access code in the SENTIO VR app on Meta Quest to walk through your model in 1:1 scale.
