Offline: Download projects on headset
Overview
The offline projects download feature lets you download entire projects — including 360° tours and 3D walkthroughs — to your Meta Quest headset for offline viewing. Once a project is downloaded, you can access your designs anytime, anywhere, without an internet connection.
Licensed headsets onlyOffline downloads are available only on licensed SENTIO VR headsets. If you don't see the download arrow next to your projects, the headset isn't licensed for this feature. Contact your account admin or reach out to us to license a headset.
Good for: client site visits, conferences, on-site reviews, or any time you can't rely on Wi-Fi.
Step 1: Open the SENTIO VR App and Log In
- Put on your Meta Quest headset and open the SENTIO VR app.
- Enter your 6-digit access code to log in.
- You'll land on your home screen with your project list.
Step 2: Download a Project to Your Headset
- From the project list, choose the project you want to take offline.
- Click the download arrow next to the project name to start the download.
Step 3: Wait for the Download to Complete
The download takes a few minutes depending on project size and your connection. You can keep using the app while it runs.
When the download is finished, the download arrow next to the project changes to a cloud icon with a check mark — that's your confirmation the project is fully saved on the headset.
Step 4: Open Your Project Without an Internet Connection
When you're offline (no Wi-Fi or cellular), open the SENTIO VR app and go to the Offline Projects section on the home page. Any project you've downloaded will appear there and can be opened just like online — no internet required.
4a. Open the Offline Projects section
From the home screen, look for the Offline Projects panel. Your downloaded projects will be listed here.
4b. Select a downloaded project
Pick the project you want to open. The list shows everything currently saved on the headset.
4c. Launch the project
The project opens directly from local storage — no internet round-trip — so it loads quickly.
4d. Walk through your project offline
You can now explore the model in full — all geometry, materials, and textures are local on the headset.
Tips & Notes
- One download at a time — start a second download only after the first one finishes.
- Cloud-check icon confirms a project is saved on the headset; the arrow icon means it's only available online.
- Cancel an in-progress download if you change your mind — the headset will prompt for confirmation before cancelling.
- Storage: large projects use more headset storage. If your headset is low on space, remove unused offline projects before downloading new ones.
- Online vs. offline: while online, you can still open projects directly from the project list — Offline Projects is only needed when you have no internet.
