Multi-user meetings for 3D walkthroughs

SENTIO VR allows you to host real-time collaborative meetings inside 3D walkthroughs — whether you’re reviewing a model internally or walking clients through a design. Participants can join using either a Meta Quest headset or a PC and experience the walkthrough together from different perspectives.

How It Works

The host starts a shared session using a 4-digit PIN and invites others to join. All participants enter the same virtual space, represented by avatars, and can interact with the 3D model and each other in real time.

Steps to Start a Multi-User Meeting

1. Launch the 3D model you want to present from either:
   • The Meta Quest headset, or • The Sentio PC App
2. Open the VR menu by pressing the left controller menu button (on Quest) or the menu button in the PC app
3. Go to the “Meetings” tab.
4. Click “Create Meeting” to generate a 4-digit PIN.
5. Share the PIN with other participants.

How Participants Can Join

Participants can join using:
• Meta Quest headset with SENTIO VR app • PC with SENTIO VR desktop app

To join:

1. Open the app and choose “Join Meeting”.
2. Enter the 4-digit PIN and your name.
3. You will enter the Dollhouse view, represented as an avatar.

Meeting Flow: From Dollhouse to 1:1 Review

• All users first appear in the Dollhouse view.
• The host can then scale into 1:1 mode to start the full-size walkthrough.
• By default, all participants are in Free Mode, meaning:
  • They can move around the model independently.
  • They can talk, listen, and explore on their own.

Guided Mode (Presentation Mode)

• The host can switch the meeting to Guided Mode by going to the “Presentation” tab in the VR menu.
• In Guided Mode:
  • All participants automatically follow the host’s position
  • They can still look around freely, but cannot move independently
  • This creates a more structured presentation experience.

VR meetings are a unique way to meet participants in real-time inside your 3D model enabling collaborative design reviews remotely. Here are the basics of VR meetings using SENTIO VR:

• Each meeting has a unique host and can have multiple guests (participants)
• Meetings can be done to review both 3D model or 360 tours uploaded to your account
• To start the meeting, hosts need to enter a meeting access code and a password unique to their account
• To join the meeting, guests need to enter the meeting access code shared by the host
• Meetings can be joined via the Quest 2 App or PC Viewer app

End Meeting

Any guest can choose to leave the meeting by pressing the B Button on the Right Controller ( Back ) & Confirm.

If the host chooses to end the meeting, the meeting automatically ends for all participants.
